My Entrepreneurship Story

I was exposed to entrepreneurship through my parents, who are both multiple business-starters. Actually, I hadn't even realized this from the definition that was taught to us in grade school, which made us picture door-to-door salesmen with a briefcase. Both of my parents are pharmacists and have worked in basically every drug store franchise or supermarket that had a pharmacy section. They agreed with customers about large lines, being understaffed, lack of communication, and the lack of general concern for the welfare of the customer that most big-name stores possessed. That's why they left and became their own bosses, setting up multiple of their own local pharmacies. Pharmacists that work for a corporation don't care about customers because they get paid by the hour regardless and will get a wage anyway. My parents are different; they care about their customers on an individual basis, and not just because they have motive to since their income depends on it. I en...

One important skill of entrepreneurs is opportunity identification , the ability to figure out an assess the unmet needs of others. For this assignment, here is a compiled list of 20 inconveniences I encounter regularly ("products that don't work right, services that leave me disappointed, and aspects of my day-to-day life that aren't quite up to snuff"). Just a fair warning: it might sound like I'm ranting about cute mild annoyances, because I am. Hopefully you can benefit from my irritation by finding it amusing if not eye-opening. 1. There are never enough vegetarian options at any dining establishment, ever . Despite what everyone thinks: no, salad is not satisfying as a standalone meal and definitely is not enough of an 'option'... especially for a vegetarian who doesn't even like salad!
